How can I sing of day and night, when it is God who formed them?
How can I sing of heaven and earth, when it is God who decreed them?
How can I sing of mountains and hills, when it is God who planted them?
How can I sing of seas and deserts, when it is God who begot them?
And how can I sing of earth and its fullness, when it is God who bade them be?
I shall sing to God who fashioned all and is beyond all— it is to God I shall sing!

24. We Are Counting

These are the days of the journey
As we wandered the desert together
We walked and we watched and we waited for our time.
So we counted each day of the journey
It’s a journey we travel together
Till the day we arrive at the mountain and we climb.

If we counted the sand in the ocean, if we counted the stars in the sky
If we counted the minutes and the hours, counting the days going by

We are counting one by one.

What is the reason  what does it show?
Where does it lead us  where do we go?
How will we get there  when will we return?
What will we do now with what we have learned?

25. I Will Plant For My Children

Honi looked at life from a circle he made

He spoke and he dreamed, he studied and he prayed.
He would stand in a circle as he prayed for rain

And there he would remain.

One day he was walking down the road by the sea

A man of seventy was planting a tree.

Honi said, “My friend why do you labor so

When the fruits of your labors, you never shall know?”

And the man looked at Honi, a light shone in his eyes

He pointed to the trees reaching up to the skies,
“When I came into the world there was fruit here for me

Because my ancestors planted those trees”

I will plant for my daughters
I will plant for my sons, and if you ask me why

As my parents planted for me

I will plant for the ones yet to be.

Honi looked at life from a circle of love

He prayed from his heart for rain from above

He thought about that man as the seasons turned

And the lesson he had learned (chorus)

26. Cowboy Jew From Mars

I'm a Cowboy Jew from Mars
I eat challah and candy bars
I'm a Jewish Martian so I can’t stop noshin
As I ride around the planets and stars I'm a stars.

I had an intergalactic bar mitzvah that everyone enjoyed
We sent an invitation to every space station
And we davenned on an asteroid! (chorus)

Everything we serve is kosher, we grow it in a petrie dish
I built a special pool and filled it with a school
Of delicious gefilte fish! (chorus)

There's a Jewish constellation you may have never seen
And when the night is clear - you'll see a bagel and a shmeer
With a supernova in between! (chorus)

27. Shehecheyanu, Thank You God

Thank you God for giving us life.
Thank you God for helping us live.
Thank you God for bringing us here, to this time.

Shehecheyanu, v’kiy’manu, v’higianu, lazman hazeh.

שֶׁהֶחֱיָנוּ וְקִיְּמָנוּ וְהִגִּיעָנוּ לַזְּמַן הַזֶּה

28. We Remember Them

In the rising of the sun, we remember them.
In the blowing of the wind, we remember them.
In the opening of buds, we remember them.
In the blueness of the sky, we remember them.
In the rustling of leaves, in the beginning of the year
When we are weary, in need of strength, we remember them.
When we are lost and sick at heart, when we have joys we yearn to share,
We remember them, we remember them.

29. We Are Partners

We are partners in the work of creation,
We are partners, and the work goes on.
We are partners in a world filled with wonder,
We are partners, and the work goes on.

God was thinking of a new creation
Up to the moment that the world began.
Into the silence a word was spoken,
God needed partners to complete the plan. (chorus)

There’s a melody that's deep within us
There’s a Torah written in our hearts
Every moment is a new creation
Every blessing is a holy spark! (chorus)

30. Lailah Tov

לַיְלָה טוֹב

Laila tov, goodnight
Laila tov, sleep tight.

You may not be sleepy, but you have to close your eyes.
Tomorrow you will wake up to bright and sunny skies!

Think about the ones you love as you snuggle in your bed,
In just a little while sweet dreams will fill your head!
